Create Project

From the Homepage (logged in) or Workspace Dashboard, click "Start a new Project"

Select the workspace for this project.

Enter Basic info for the project: Please provide: Title, URL, Description (optional) and Cover Image (optional). All of these fields, except URL, can be edited later in the Project Settings page.

Select a Project Type
Project Types​
All projects must display the Powered by 8th Wall
badge on the loading page. It's included by default in the Loading Module
and cannot be removed.

Commercial: Commercial projects are intended for commercial use. When you’re ready to launch a commercial project so that the world can see it, you will need to purchase a Commercial License. Please refer to the Pricing Page on the website for commercial license options. NOTE: In order to purchase a commercial license, the workspace must first have an active Pro plan.

Non-Commercial: Your paid subscription allows you to develop and publish unlimited non-commercial projects. A "Non-Commercial" label will appear on the loading screen. If you decide to commercialize your project at any point, switch to "Commercial" in the Project Dashboard.

Demo Use: You may create unlimited demo projects which are publicly viewable and strictly intended for pitching prospective work. A "Demo Use Only" label will appear on the loading screen. If you decide to commercialize your project at any point, switch to "Commercial" in the Project Dashboard.

Educational Use: Educational projects are intended for educational purposes only, such as a classroom setting. You can develop and publish unlimited educational projects. An "Educational Use" label will appear on the loading screen. If your project is intended for commercial use, you must select "Commercial". If you are an educational institution please contact 8th Wall for information on a custom Education plan.
Change Project Type​
- Go to the Project Dashboard page
- Click "Change project type"
- Select an appropriate project type
- Click "Save"
