Paramount brings Transformers to life with WebAR
The Transformers were brought to life with augmented statues and transforming characters in fans’ own world
Taking the excitement to a whole new level for fans, Paramount unleashed two immersive augmented reality experiences to promote and amplify awareness for the highly popular film "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts".
Transformer enthusiasts had the opportunity to witness the grand tour of the oversized Transformers monuments that were installed at prominent global venues worldwide. These augmented figures were located across major cities like Austin, Las Vegas, New York, Mexico City, São Paulo, Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo, Sydney, Madrid, Berlin, and London. For fans who were unable to see these monuments in person, the AR experience brought these characters to life regardless of where they were located.
Pretty Big Monster partnered with 8th Wall to develop a cutting-edge augmented reality website that enabled fans to scan the monuments and gain access to an array of exclusive content, including posters, bonus materials, videos, and more. Additionally, they successfully integrated real-time 3D animations derived from the authentic film models using 8th Wall's World Effects technology. This brought fans' favorite Transformer characters, such as Optimus Prime, to life and allowed them to witness mesmerizing transformations unfolding right before their eyes.
Created by the digital marketing agency, Pretty Big Monster, these experiences demonstrate how WebAR has the remarkable ability to craft immersive and captivating experiences that will leave audiences wanting more.
