Discover This Season’s Must-Have Styles From Carolina Herrera’s Collection of Luxury Clothing in a New Ecommerce WebAR Experience
Online shoppers can now get up close with select apparel in their own space using augmented reality
The House of Herrera is defined by the iconic style and effortless sophistication of its founder Carolina Herrera, launching Carolina Herrera New York in 1981. To help customers get up close with its latest ready-to-wear collection, select merchandise on Carolina Herrera’s ecommerce website now features a new augmented reality feature.
Customers can explore this season's must-have styles, from sophisticated dresses to polished separates, in augmented reality by tapping on a new call to action on select product pages. When tapping on “3D Experience Available”, a web-based augmented reality experience is triggered which gives customers the ability to place a model wearing the selected style in their own space. From jackets to gowns, the augmented reality models help give customers a better perspective of the apparel both in terms of scale and movement which assists in their shopping decisions.
Created by BEEM, this was the biggest ecommerce experience they have created with 8th Wall WebAR. As the augmented reality feature requires no app to download, it could easily be integrated with the Carolina Herrera website creating a seamless experience. Customers are able to access the augmented reality feature and return to the product page all within the browser. The addition of augmented reality as part of the ecommerce experience gives customers a brand new way to learn more about the product. It turns a digital experience into something more physical, akin to what customers are used to in-store, by placing the product in the customer's physical world space. All of this helps boost customer confidence in their purchase, increasing conversion to purchase and reducing returns.
