To support the BBC / Open University’s co-production of Planet Earth III, Powster collaborated with the Open University to bring their educational resource to life in WebAR!
Promoted by Sir David Attenborough via a dedicated CTA at the end of each Planet Earth III episode, Habitat Explorer allows fans to scroll to different parts of the globe and bring three distinct habitats in to their homes through the magic of WebAR, powered by 8th Wall and designed, modelled, animated, and developed in-house by Powster.
The visual details of the 3D animals and their animated idiosyncrasies, provide a closer look to accurately educate users about them in their natural environment.
Users can see a South American Red Eyed Tree frog in the forest, Giant Sea Turtles in a sanctuary in Australasia and Butterflies fluttering in European grassland.
