A unique WebAR and WebVR experience to promote Warren Hue’s album ‘Boy of the Year’ and Microsoft’s holographic capture technology.
Partnering with music agency 88rising and Microsoft, we created WebAR and WebVR experiences for Warren Hue’s music album ‘Boy of the Year’. The purpose of the project was to both promote the artist's work and also to showcase and explore Microsoft's holographic capture technology.
Central to the process was the recreation of Warren’s eclectic sketches into a new 3D form. As these graphics were already known and admired by his extensive social following, understanding and honoring his artistic identity when building the immersive environment was essential. After creating this unique world, we were then able to use Microsoft’s volumetric capture to place Warren inside.
